Kai grunted as he struggled to climb up Mt. Kazai. He dug his hands into the blue rock, as he made his way up the mountain.

"The hell this thing is so big for?"

He thought to himself. As he climbed higher the air became thinner. Soon it became hard to breathe, Huffing and puffing Kai continued to climb. He stopped to rest on a nearby lege near the summit and took a breather.

He rested his hands on his knees as he looked up, and suprisingly saw someone in a black cloak enter the mountain. Kai shook his head in disbelife, and looked up again, but the man had vanished.

"Must be the light-headedness playing tricks on me."

Kai thought nothing more of it, and resatared his climb to the top. After a while, he reached the doorway at the summit.

The air was biting cold, as small flurries of snow fell to the ground. Kai stared at the doorway, and shook his head.

"The things I manage to get myself into, will it ever end?"

He walked inside.

Kai was satnding in the first room with quite the perturbed look on his face.

"Theres nothing but a hole and a rope. Why do I have to go up, to go down, cnat they just put a door at the bottom of the mountain? Of all things."

Kai continued to curse, as he grabbed the rope, and slid down.

Finally at the ropes end he touched down in the main hall of what looked like a temple. The serene sound of a waterfall was heard in the distance. In the middle of the room was yet another hole that led farther down the mountain.

Kai peered over the ledge, and could see a faint blue glow at the bottom,

"The stones that I need" he thought. I should have these in no time. Suddenly he jerked his head up. He heard a swishing noise.

Cautiously Kai looked around

"Whos there" he called out. No response.

Kai circled the room Until he saw the cloaked figure from before.

"So my eyes werent playing tricks on me. Who is that."

Kai ran twords the figure, the shadow saw him, and said in a dark hissing voice.

"Master's plans are not to be disturbed. You are in the wrong place, you know to much ypu must be disposed of."

He motioned to his counterpart. Out of the shadows another figure emerged in a black cloak. Slowly they drew there swords and stood in the ready position.

Kai: Please its going to take more than that to stop me, allow me to send a message to your boss.

Kai held out his right hand, and muttered an incantation. Small sparkles of light appeared around him, and a black sword appeared in his hand. Kai swung it downwards, and instead of the standard swishing noise, the sword let out an earsplitting scream.

Kai: This is Dusk. You two will meet it soon enough.

Kai held the sword in his right hand paralell to the ground, and with his left hand motoined for the two men to come. Without hesatation the two figures lunged at Kai. Swinging their swords in a fury, they made wild swipes at Kai. Parrying their blows he was inching backwards, he looked behind him, and saw the edge fast approaching.

"Damn I need to make room between us, before I make an unwanted trip.

Kai: Hey ladies! Try this on.

Kai brought back his left hand, It began to glow blue, and a blue light emerged from his palm.

Kai: Feel the power of the blue moon. Catch

The room grew dark, and the symbol of the blue moon appeared under the two men. A fierce wind blew and a tornado of wind and water rose up, and knocked the two men backwards. Kai used this oppurtunity to take the offensive. He charged at the two men, and cut them down one after another. They fell dead, as Kai jumped back out of breath. He shook his head

"ametures, I wish theu provided more of a challenge."

He made his way over to examine the two corpses to see who he was up against, but jumped back in fright, as the two men smoked, and melted into the ground leaving only their cloaks.

"Wha I dont get it, did I just see what I thought I saw. I wonder...how much danger I'm in? No matter I need those stones, besides what could an entire evil organization want with just a hollowed out rock."

Shaking the memory of the ambush out of his head Kai pressed on unaware of the dangers that still lay in his way.

I feel a problem we have is that if we don't post here often and read it, we start to forget, especially because there are many characters and they are all apart.

I think it'll be a good idea to post a summary of our previous post(s) so people can remember more easily and don't have to re-read everything. What do you think?

(Summary:

On 25/Dec/1241, Hyuga went to see the young Empress Isabel III of Valua, who seemed to be an old friend. He was a Valuan captain on a mission for Isabel's father, who we assume to have passed away not too long ago. Hyuga gives her a written report and says that "things will get real busy soon", but he'll be able to control the situation. Then he must rest because he has something to do. Isabel gives Hyuga a strange blue jewel. The next day, Hyuga departs for Sailor's Island.

15 days later, Hyuga finishes searching for something in the Sailor's Guild library, but he needs an old Yafutoman dictionary, and he only copy he knows is somewhere else. He joins captain Lerma because his ship is heading for Yafutoma. To find it, he convinces Lerma to fly slow, like they were carrying something important.

A Blue Rogue ship attacks and boards their ship, but they find nothing. Hyuga disappears. They capture Lerma, and find out the ship was empty. Lerma manages to escape with most soldiers in an escape boat.

Hyuga reappears in the Blue Rogues' ship, and meets Reye, Serra, and Lyn. He presents himself as a hentai merchant from Nasr that was caught trying to bypass Valua's customs control, and showed a legitimate Nasr merchant license.

{15/Jan/1242, later that day}

[Music: SOA CD1-08 - Blue Pirates' Ship]

Hyuga and Reye go to the bar in the ship. It was a medium sized bar with 4 tables; other crew members were hanging around.

Reye: Well, Hyuga, this is our bar. What do you think?

Hyuga: If I'm not wrong, this is a medium-sized wooden ship built in some island south of Valua, equipped with a second generation engine possibly made in Nasr. Considering the hull is about 10 meters wide, and the engine room below this bar requires extra space for the larger engine, this is a surprisingly large bar for this kind of ship.

Reye: o_o Wow. I meant what did you think of the atmosphere.

Hyuga: Oh, that. Well, it's fine.

Reye: You seem to know more than the average merchant about ships.

Hyuga: Yes I do, I was a ship merchant before I switched over to hentai. Hentai is waaay more profitable, you know? Never understimate people's need to-

Reye: Ok '_'v Do you want some Ixa'takan loqua?

Hyuga: No, thanks, I don't drink shit.

Reye: Okay...

Reye: Well. You mentioned you were caught bypassing a control. Why did you do that? All you needed to do is to pay the Valuan foreign commerce tax, and you would have been allowed to sell whatever you have in Valuan air. Or are you hiding something?

Hyuga: Well, I... the tax... hmm...

Hyuga leans towards Reye, and talks quietly.

Hygua: Actually, I'm a commander of the Valuan Intelligence.

Hyuga moves back and gives Reye a stern look.

Reye: o_O W-what the fuck...?

Reye stands up and holds his pistol.

Hyuga: ... ^_^ Ha ha ha ha, I'm only joking! If I were from the Valuan Intelligence, would I tell you?

Reye: <_< I guess not...

Hyuga: So, that Serra girl, where's she from?

Reye: Nice way to change the subject... She's from Esperanza, why?

Hyuga: She had a bit of Yafutoman accent.

Reye: Yes, she spent some years in Yafutoma.

Hyuga: Really? That's interesting. I wonder if I can talk to her, I'm so interested on Yafutoman culture ^_^ .

Reye: Heh, I see where are you going. Don't think she'll fall for a weirdo like you.

Hyuga: No, really; actually, I need to ask about a Yafutoman book ^_^; .

Reye: Hmm... I'll go find her so you can explain both what do you exactly want.

Hyuga: You said both as in "Serra and you", by any chance?

Reye: That's it ^_^ .

Hyuga: Oh >_> . Don't you have to finish healing? You were hurt in battle. I read the best for healing is to have a good rest, and...

Reye: I'm fine thank you ^_^ .

Hyuga: >_> . Ha ha ha, you'll have to listen to the boring story of a poor hentai merchant then! ^_^
